This wine followed the same process we use producing our Chianti Colli Senesi Riserva. It was aged for 8 years in big oak barrels before bottling.

Vinum Non Habent

This wine represents the whole production of the harvest 2023. It is produced from a tiny amount of Vernaccia di San Gimignano grapes we harvested after an year of fight in vineyard. This is so special we used this name directly from John 2:3.

Iohannes. 2:1,10

Some of the greatest poets of the Italian Literature as Dante Alighieri and Boccaccio mention Vernaccia di San Gimignano in their poems: during the centuries Kings and Popes have been appreciated this wine that arrived in the 20th century as the most important white wine in a region of Italy famous for his great reds.

Venti

Venti is a Vin Santo del Chianti DOC (Denomination of Origin Controlled) is produced with selected  Trebbiano Toscano and Malvasia grapes coming only from our vineyards.

The production rules say that grapes must dry out naturally until 1st December after the harvest, the wine has to be vinified and aged in small barrels (caratelli) smaller than 500 liters. The wine cannot be sold before the 1st November of the third year after the harvest. But Venti was managed in a different way.

Venti was aged in caratelli for 20 years then refines in bottle. All the evolution was naturally developed following Nature and not marketing.

Could you imagine what does it mean aging a wine in cellar for 20 years?

San Nicola

This name comes from Campochiarenti church, that is the oldest one in San Gimignano surroundings (AD 998), and to remember our cousin Nicolas who was killed in the terrorist attack in Nice (France) July 14th 2016.
The first wine who had on the label this name was the Chianti Colli Senesi 2016, followed by 2017. Then we used this name for our Riserva 2017 and now we will use San Nicola by itself for our special selection, long aged in big oak barrels before bottling. The first vintage using the new label is 2019.
This wine follows Chianti Colli Senesi Riserva production rules increasing the aging time for our best selected regional varieties.

GAR

GianAmbrogio IGT (Typical Geographic Indication) Toscana Rosso 2008 “GAR” is not only the last wine we did but above all is a wine five times unique.

Chianti Colli Senesi "Sant'Ambrogio"

Chianti Colli Senesi 2016 and 2017 was named San Nicola in memory of our cousin Nicolas. That name was moved to the Riserva when the Chianti Colli Senesi was named Sant'Ambrogio. St.Ambrose was the custodian of the traditional faith, in the same way we want to preserve in our Chianti all the tradition, also in memory of our father GianAmbrogio.

Our Chianti Colli Senesi is produced with grapes coming only from our vineyards. The production rules say to use at least 75% Sangiovese, it is possible to use all the grapes allowed in Tuscany included the white ones.
